Zico goes V-1 in the Champion Class at the USRC Select Show in Ohio.
We are proud to offer at stud one of the finest all around and
most accomplished rottweilers in the world today. We acquired Zico from our good
friends Peter and Claudia Wolf-Meixner, at the famous Schwaiger Wappen kennel in
Germany. Zico is a large (66.5 cm) and muscular dog with extremely correct conformation that is
very difficult to fault. His eyes (1B) and mouth pigment are exceptionally dark,
and his markings are a beautiful mahogany color. He has a strong, broad, and
compact body with a very large (16.5 cm) head and a short (8.5 cm) muzzle. Zico is
pointed towards his International Championship, and has been many times V-1
rated in the show ring. He has also had some very impressive showings at some of
the largest major shows in Germany, going V-1 at the Europa Sieger Show, V-3 at
the ADRK Klubsieger Show, and V-2 at the Polish Klubsieger Show. What
we are most proud of Zico for is the way he performs on and off the schutzhund
field. Zico has inherited his father's superb working temperment, which goes
from full power on the schutzhund field to calm and friendly off the field. Like
his father Eddy vom Hammerbachtal, whom we are also incredibly blessed to own, Zico has
firmly made his mark in Germany amongst the schutzhund world. To

times SchH/VPG 3 with V scores, and have competed successfully at the Deutscher Meisterschaft
(German Schutzhund Championship). Also, both put on very impressive performances
at their korungs, receiving standing ovations from the crowd. And it is no
wonder why Zico has such extraordinarily high working drive, because it
comes honestly through his lineage from both his father and his mother. Of course
Eddy's bloodline is well known all over the world for it's working drive, but so
is Zico's mother's line. Her name is Sunny vom Schwaiger Wappen, and she was a
German/VDH Champion and SchH/VPG 3 daughter of Rick von Burgthann. To

SchH/VPG 3 title and passed the korung, he was best known by his many show
titles and his ability to produce amazing looking show champions. But Sunny's
mother was an all around great rottweiler like Zico and his father, in that she
excelled at a very high level in both the show ring and on the schutzhund field.
Her name is Aki vom Schwaiger Wappen, and she is said to be the absolute best
working female that this great kennel has ever owned! Coming from a
kennel that has probably had more long term success than any other kennel in the
history of the rottweiler breed, that is a huge statement! To
see photos of Aki click here Like Zico and Eddy, Aki was
also a DM participant and passed her korung with flying colors. But also like
Zico and Eddy, Aki had an extremely successful show career. She was the
Bundessiegerin in 97', and also held International & German/VDH Champion
titles! Zico's great success on both the schutzhund field and in
the show ring is certainly no fluke. His pedigree boasts some of the most famous
and successful names that the rottweiler world knows. For show, names like Eddy,
Aki, Ingo, Doc, Falko, Danjo, Bennno, Bea (v.d. Teufelsbrucke) and Chris
immediately come to mind. For work, you have some of the same names like Eddy
and Aki, again indicating the great versatility of this pedigree. In addition
though, you have names like Greif (from both the Moritzberg & Oberhausener
Norden kennels), Orso, Xenia, and Ken v. Sternbogen. The fact that all of these
great names were combined in Zico's pedigree is no accident. The family at the
Schwaiger Wappen kennel have always put forth the extra effort to combine the best
bloodlines into their breeding program, specifically looking for lines that
truly excel at a very high level in BOTH show and work. In fact, over
the years the Schwaiger Wappen kennel (now in it's second generation) has had
more dogs competing in the DM, korungs, and winning more sieger(in)/Champion titles than
any other kennel in the history of the breed! Here at Old World
Kennel, we also follow this philosophy of breeding for the TOTAL
rottweiler, which explains why the acquisition of Zico into our breeding program
was only natural. As you can see by the pedigree below, both of Zico's
parents and all four of his grandparents are SchH/VPG 3, V-1 rated, and
HD-. Also note the amazing amount of korung titles (Gekort) in this
pedigree.
